You really had to have been there, but Cheech and Chong once did a Christmas record.

The premise, in the unlikely event you’ve not heard it: One stoner tries to explain Santa Claus to another stoner. Being under the influence may or may not enhance your enjoyment.

That said, a gem of truth tucked inside this bit:

“We could sure use a dude like that right now.”

45 single sleeve for "Santa Claus and His Old Lady" by Cheech and Chong, 1971.

“Santa Claus and His Old Lady,” Cheech & Chong, Ode 7-inch single 66021, released December 1971. (It was their first single. The flip side was “Dave,” another stoner classic.) It was re-released for Record Store Day in 2022.

This bit never appeared on any of their albums but was included on “Where There’s Smoke There’s Cheech Y Chong,” a compilation LP released in 2002.
